If you read one thing

We keep what we need to run Atheron Nebula: your account and billing details, the business check before your first job, and the inputs and results of your jobs for the window you choose. Jobs are private by default and run only on our hardware. For members who run jobs, we keep what we need to verify their work and reward them. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we never train anything on your data for anyone else.

Who you are dealing with

Atheron Network Inc.

01Who we are

Atheron Nebula is a service of Atheron Network Inc.. For our customers' and members' own account details, we are responsible for them. For personal information inside a customer's job, the customer is responsible and we handle it on the customer's instructions.

03The data in your jobs

When you send a job, we handle its inputs, training examples and results for you:

  • inputs and results are kept for the retention window you choose (30 days unless you set another, at most 90), then deleted;
  • a private job, which is every job by default, is processed only on Atheron house nodes or on cloud GPUs we rent;
  • a job you mark shareable is cut into shards that members' computers process; each member's device sees only the shards it runs, and never your name or your account;
  • job records (which model, how many items, when, the cost) are kept with your billing records.

Do not mark personal or confidential information shareable. If you are an individual whose information was in a customer's job, ask that customer; you can also write to us and we will pass your request on.

04What we keep about members who run jobs

Members run Nebula jobs through the ATON Constellation app, under the Constellation terms. For Nebula we keep each device's verified work, the reward chosen for each job, and what was earned. Before any cash or USDC payout, once those open, we also keep the result of the member's identity check, the payout account our payment provider holds (we keep only a reference to it) or the member's verified wallet address, and the tax details the law requires.

05Where it is stored and processed

Account, billing and job records and stored inputs and results are kept in Canada, in our cloud provider's Canadian region. A private job may be processed on our cloud provider's GPUs in the United States. A shareable job is processed on members' computers, which may be in many countries. Our verification and payment providers process what they need under their own notices.

Each provider is bound by a contract to use the information only for that purpose. Members are bound by the Constellation terms not to keep or look into what they process. We tell customers before we add a provider that handles the data in their jobs.

07What we never do

  • sell personal information, or share it for advertising;
  • send a private job to a member's device;
  • use a customer's inputs, examples or results to train anything for anyone else;
  • look into a customer's data, except when the customer asks us to, to keep the service safe, or when the law requires it.

08Your rights

You may ask for a copy of what we keep about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at the contact page. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the authority where you live.
